Sunflower Oil – 150 grams (brightens the skin, light oil) 5. Ghee – 100 grams (eliminates dryness and roughness) --- Lye and Water: Lye (NaOH) – about 145 grams Water (Distilled Water) – 300 grams (Be sure to check the amount of lye with an oil calculator, because the calculation will change if the type/amount of oil is different.) --- Special Ingredients (Additives): 1. Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon (lightens blemishes and brightens) 2. Multani mitti – 2 teaspoons (controls oil) 3. Aloe vera gel (pure aloe vera gel) – 2 tablespoons (softens skin, reduces blemishes) 4. Vitamin E oil – 1 teaspoon (nourishes skin) 5. Essential oil – (lemon/tea tree/lavender) – 10–15 drops total (scent + helps reduce acne/blemishes) 6. Saffron Steps to make (in brief): 1. Measure all the oils and butter and heat them lightly in a double boiler. 2. In a separate bowl, slowly mix the lye (NaOH) with the cold water. (Do not do it the other way around – never pour water into the lye). Let it cool. 3. When the temperature of the lye water and oil reaches about 38–40°C, slowly mix and thicken with a stick blender (trace stage). 4. Now mix turmeric powder, multani mitti, aloe vera, vitamin B, essential oil. 5. Pour into molds and leave for 24–48 hours to set. 6.
