ASSASSINS
This archival video conversation piece sheds light about the original Broadway production of Assassins. We were able to talk to book writer John Weidman, and composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim about what the musical is about for them, the process of creating the musical, and what they feel is the most important takeaway from this show. What happens when we stop looking at the subjects of the musical as just assassins, and we start looking at them as people? Watch as Sondheim explains his process of creating the music and what the stories were behind it, and Weidman explains how the audience is meant to relate to the show.
