【FHD 駅探訪No.63】北越急行ほくほく線 美佐島駅にて(At Misashima Station on the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line)

山岳トンネルを在来線日本最高速度（160km/h）で特急「はくたか」が駆け抜ける北越急行ほくほく線。その中で唯一トンネル内に設置された地下駅が美佐島駅です。列車の高速通過で生じる猛烈な風圧に対応すべく、地方の無人駅とは思えない設備を有するに至りました。今回は、そんな美佐島駅で、駅周辺や構内、列車の発着・通過風景を撮影してみた。 Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku line is a mountain tunnel route where limited express train HAKUTAKA passes at 160km/h, which is the fastest of all local railway lines in Japan. Misashima station is the only station, installed belowground on this line. To tackle the severe wind pressure, caused by fast passage of trains, the station has firm facilities.
