Quandrix vs Lorehold Secrets of Strixhaven 1v1 MTG Commander Precon Game!!

Thank you to ‪@mtg‬ for sending us the new Secrets of Strixhaven Commander Precons, a real treat for us to experience together! Today we're playing the last unplayed of our new Secrets of Strixhaven precons - Quandrix Unlimited (green/blue +1/+1 counters and X spells) against Lorehold Spirits (red/white graveyard recursion), which is a deck dad has played once so far. This is Dad's first time piloting Quandrix, and the learning curve is steep: X spell math, prime number triggers, and stacking multiple +1/+1 counter synergies. Dad's commander is Zimone, Infinite Analyst, who discounts X spells based on how many +1/+1 counters she has, and puts more counters on herself when you cast X spells. The deck includes Zimone All-Questioning (creates tokens when you control a prime number of lands), Hardened Scales (doubles counter placement), and Biomass Mutation (an instant that can turn combat math upside down). Watch as I explain how X spells work differently from normal spells - teaching Dad that casting Commander's Insight for X=13 triggers multiple different abilities, draws 14 cards, and creates a decision point about whether to build up counters or attack.
