Milania Giudice’s Mercedes Gets Totaled After Being Struck by Teacher’s Car

On May 17, 2024 around 7:18 AM, the Boonton Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle accident on Myrtle Avenue near the Route 287 off ramp involving a 2018 Mercedes C300 and 2010 Ford Fusion. Patrolman Kyle Lindsay first arrived on scene, and he made contact with both drivers. The Mercedes was being driven by 18-year-old RHONJ star Milania Giudice. The Ford Fusion was being driven by 71-year-old Steven Frenkel, a science teacher at Boonton High School. Milania informed Patrolman Lindsay that she was not injured. When she was asked to explain what happened, she told him that she was on her way to her high school and she was driving north on Myrtle Avenue where she would have had the right of way. As she was heading straight, the other driver failed to stop at the stop sign before attempting to turn left onto Myrtle Avenue. As a result, Milania’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side. There was airbag deployment in both vehicles and the officers considered both vehicles to be totaled given the level of damages. Both drivers were interviewed at the scene, and the crash investigation report revealed that the accident was the result of Steven Frenkel’s “inattention and failing to yield to the right of way.” Milania’s stepfather Luis Ruelas arrived on scene shortly after the accident and Milania was able to leave with him after the officers took down her information. The other driver was evaluated by first responders and he was transported to Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville for further evaluation. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Corigliano Towing. Based on the outcome of their investigation at the scene of the motor vehicle accident, it was determined that Milania was not at fault. Patrolman Lindsay issued the other driver a citation for careless driving (39:4-97) on May 19, 2024. Court records as of June 14, 2024 indicate that the careless driving citation is still pending before the Boonton Municipal Court. ------------------------------------------ Please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to continue supporting this channel. All videos and case documents were obtained pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. (P.L. 2001, c. 404). Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty. The New Jersey Supreme Court has previously affirmed in Salzano v. North Jersey Media Group, 993 A.2d 778 (2010) that “The fair-report privilege reflects the judgment that the need, in a self-governing society, for free-flowing information about matters of public interest outweighs concerns over the uncompensated injury to a person's reputation.” This video advances a compelling public interest. The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J. Super. 13, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court has also affirmed the right to film law enforcement interactions.
