Tayview Caravan Park (Touring) | MONIFIETH | Tour & Review | March 2024

We show you round Tayview Caravan Park in Monifieth, Angus, Scotland. We stayed here with our 2 rescue chihuahuas in our Roller Team Auto-Roller 707 motorhome in March 2024. We only stayed one night but our experience was positive. Some things to bear in mind: There's a 3.2m height restriction on the way in (with no alternative route) so be aware if you have a particularly tall unit or something on top of it. There's a railway line immediately behind the campsite. It's quite busy but we found the trains to be pretty quiet and not an intrusive noise. There is a firing range along the coast so you can hear the noise of this. It's very subtle so again not intrusive, but worth being aware of if you have a sensitivity to that sort of noise. The latest arrival time is quite early (2pm when we stayed) and did differ from what our confirmation email said. Great things about the site: Really friendly welcome - the lady did try to move us to a seafront pitch but wasn't able to find one (we didn't ask for this, she just took the initiative). Facilities were modern, warm and clean. There was an issue with hot water first thing on the morning we were there, but it appeared to have been fixed a couple of hours later. Excellent location adjacent to the coastal path, with easy access to the beach and a short walk to town. There is a cafe on site, although we didn't try it - it looked good though, and a coffee wagon just a bit further along in the beach car park.
