ALPE DI SUCCISO dal Passo del Cerreto:Video Trekking nel Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emil.

A beautiful adventure in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, located between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. 🏔️🏔️ This trek starts from the Cerreto Pass (MS) near the Passo del Cerreto Refuge, at approximately 1,253 meters above sea level. In about an hour's walk, you reach the Ospedalaccio Pass, from which you continue left to the Sources of the Secchia River along trail 671. After meeting the newborn Secchia River, you climb steeply to the Pietratagliata Pass (1,750 m), a pass that, according to legend, was opened by the troops of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa fleeing from the enemies of the Lombard League. Avoiding an exposed section equipped with cables, thanks to a small path on the right, you begin the final climb until you reach the splendid summit of Alpe di Succiso at 2,016 meters above sea level. The view here is breathtaking. After greeting the statue of the Madonna and Child protected by a Faraday cage, I continue toward Monte Casarola, another spectacular peak in the National Park. From Casarola, at 1,979 meters, you can admire Monte Ventasso and Monte Cusna with its sharp peak. Retracing my steps slightly toward the Casarola saddle, I begin a steep descent along the path to my left until I reconnect with Prataccio and the sources of the Secchia River.
