The longest escalators in Finland Metro Finnoo Espoo Helsinki Walk in- and outside the station

A metro station with hardly any passengers but lots of art? This is the Finnoo station of the Länsimetro (western metro) in Helsinki on the route from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti. Since December 2022, you can take the lift 34 metres down or take the longest escalator in Finland with a length of 78 metres. Once on the platform, you can marvel at the art of Leena-Nio, whose paintings are called "Dream Images". It's worth it, as you can see in the video. The station was built for the new Finnoo neighbourhood in Espoo, west of Helsinki. Today there are only a few houses here, but flats for over 17,000 residents are still being built. This means that the station will be used much more in the future.
