Walt Disney's Silly Symphony - "Hell's Bells" (Public Domain)

The #SillySymphony series began with a dose of the macabre with "The Skeleton Dance" and returned to the animated comedy horror genre for its third installment, "Hell's Bells." Fittingly released on October 30th, 1929, the short was directed by Ub Iwerks, who also served as an animator alongside Wilfred Jackson and Les Clark. Set to Charles Gounod's "Funeral March of a Marionette," the short follows the grim delights of a devil king as his minions feed his three-headed dog and milk a dragon for his nourishment. When one of the minions revolts, the devil king meets his untimely end. Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @laughingplace
