One of England’s Most Beautiful Walks? | Derwentwater Circular (Lake District)

We were looking for a great Lake District walk while the weather up in the mountains wasn’t looking too good… and this turned out to be an absolute belter. The Derwentwater Circular Walk is around 10 miles of stunning scenery, peaceful lakeside paths, atmospheric woodland trails, and incredible views across one of the most beautiful lakes in England. Starting from the Lakeside Car Park in Keswick, this easygoing route takes you all the way around Derwentwater, passing through some amazing spots along the way. Whether you’re after a relaxed day outdoors or just want one of the best low-level walks in the Lake District, this one is hard to beat. ⛰️ Route Highlights: Derwentwater Keswick Lakeside trails Woodland paths Incredible mountain views Lingholm Kitchen coffee stop ☕🍰 Our B&B host recommended stopping at The Lingholm Kitchen towards the end of the walk, and it was 100% worth it.
