Ljubav (The Cup Song) by Greenfield Harmony

The movie Pitch Perfect featured the song “When I’m Gone” which was originally composed in 1931 by the Carter Family. The reissue of the song went viral with its complicated cup game percussion. A few months ago friends of Mary Cay Brass's in Bosnia posted a new rewrite of the song on FB written and performed by orphans in an orphanage in Sarajevo. The project was initiated by Sabina Šabić. They rewrote the song as a message of hope and peace to the children of the world. Their lyrics say, “In my heart there lives the hope that love will win over all. In my heart there is a place for all people, for all who need love.” The Greenfield Harmony choir from Massachusetts performs this Bosnian version of the cup song complete with about 10 people doing the cup routine as percussion. Art Fuleihan accompanies on guitar and Joe Blumenthal on bass, Mary Cay Brass on keyboard.
