DANAda: Designing Adaptation – Experiences for a Resilient Future
Here are some first-person stories from artists and artisans in the areas of Valencia affected by the devastating flash floods of October 2024, locally known as DANA. Curated by Chele Esteve and Salvador Mascarell, the initiative is based on an art exhibition featuring artworks, crafts, and design pieces damaged by the floods, together with new creations that reflect on adaptation, resilience, and climate change. Through the voices of the artists and artisans themselves, the film explores how the destruction of their works, studios, and workshops became the starting point for a process of reconstruction. Using the remains left behind by the water, they transform loss into new artistic expressions. The video was funded under The HuT Nexus project: https://thehut-nexus.eu/
