I can absolutely say I am someone who puts a serious focus and importance on mental health. For a lot of people it's a daily unseen struggle that can be seriously hard to fight while just staying afloat. It can be so hard to fight back to a good place and stay there, and it can be isolating when you feel like no one else can understand. But even if it's hard to explain, there absolutely are people who will be there for you, listen to you and do their best to support you! And that was an important part of this script for me! This is a story of letting yourself rely on someone else in a very vulnerable moment, and having someone that will be there for you is so meaningful! This was a hard script to perform in a lot of ways, but also very therapeutic to be able to speak about something this important in such a well written way! This was one of those stories that I just knew I had to cover after reading it, and I really hope my take could give an idea of the place a lot of people find themselves in. I also really love the reverse comfort aspect of this story, it's a genre I've never really explored but I think for this script it was really beautiful to be able to show what sort of things you can do for someone in those moments, even just being there and being a shoulder to cry on. Remember to be kind, you never know what someone is going through, and take some time to remind the people in your life that you care about them! Full credits to the writer for a beautiful script!
