A warm and cozy taro mochi milk stew on a cold day
As it happens, the taro at home was ripe, so I decided to recreate the Taro and Mochi Stewed Milk myself. I peeled, sliced, and steamed the taro, then blended it with fresh milk and sugar until smooth. I added a bit of purple sweet potato powder for color, hand-rolled some two-color small balls, cooked sago, made stretchy mochi, and served it all with gently simmering fresh milk. A whole bowl full of nothing but chewy, comforting goodness. #calming #relaxing #nature #rurallife
