Inspired by the sound system he encountered at St. ANNS, a club in America-mura, DeeJay formed the BIG BANG CREW in 1991 at the age of 17. He hosted regular weekend dances at Alien Spot in Hirano Ward, drawing approximately 300 people each week. He made a name for himself in the fiercely competitive Osaka reggae scene. In the late 1990s, as a member of the TOKIWA DEM CREW, he competed fiercely with PUSHIM, RYO the SKYWALKER, JUMBO MAATCH, TAKAFIN, and BOXER KID, bringing the high level of Japanese reggae from the underground to the rest of the country. DeeJay's career now spans a quarter of a century. His choice of words, flow, and staging have had a major influence on many DeeJays active across the country, earning him the respect of a leading Western figure in the scene. He continues to compete in DeeJay Clashes, a one-on-one battle in which opponents are killed with lyrics originating in Jamaica, and has served as chairman of the domestically held "COMBAT DeeJay CLASH" since 2018. His notable battles include PAPA B (1996), H-MAN (2008), RUDE BWOY FACE (2015), and JUMBO MAATCH (2018). He also competed in "Hyakunin Kumite" twice, remaining undefeated on a battlefield where everyone else was an enemy. In 2019, he competed on TV Asahi's "Freestyle Dungeon," leaving his mark on the hip-hop battle scene. He has been rapidly developing music since the mid-1990s, releasing it on a variety of labels, both major and indie. He has often been welcomed by artists from other genres, such as hip-hop and rock, and has collaborated with artists from across genres, including KREVA, Gaki Ranger, ZEEBRA, and Yamaarashi. He formed the band with "ROBIN" after making a surprise appearance at the major event "SESSION IMPOSSIBLE" at Osaka Bayside Jenny in late 2000. The following year, in 2001, he began full-fledged SOUND activities, making a name for himself as the first digital "CD" joglin' ​​sound in the Japanese reggae scene. He has performed with numerous renowned international artists and SOUNDs in Japan, been a special guest on Ketsumeishi's nationwide tour, and has played at what is said to be the most numerous domestic and international events in Japanese reggae history.
