Seeking refuge, Jumbo hides under Tom's blanket as the cat settles in for the night. Unaware, Tom rolls over, nearly squashing Jumbo, but the elephant cleverly avoids detection. The next morning, Jumbo uses his trunk to drink Tom's milk from a distance, leading Tom to mistakenly blame Jerry. To escape Tom's wrath, Jerry paints Jumbo to resemble a giant mouse, and the two friends continue to outwit the befuddled cat.
