北陸道【富山県編】真正面に見える立山連峰が大迫力！！【E8下り／その4／小矢部川SA→有磯海SA】

Finally, we've completed our journey along the Hokuriku Expressway and entered Toyama Prefecture. We're driving along, passing by the characteristic "sankyoson" (scattered villages) of the Tonami Plain (settlements where individual farmhouses are scattered among vast farmlands) on both sides of the road. Apparently, the Tonami Plain's "sankyoson" is the largest in Japan! I knew from weather forecasts that Fukui Prefecture has regional divisions like "Reinan" and "Reihoku," but Toyama Prefecture is divided into "Goto" and "Gosei." This is news to me! Entering the "Goto" region, we finally arrive in Toyama City. Below the vast, clear blue sky, the snow-capped Tateyama mountain range begins to spread out before us. What incredible luck... just a moment ago, a flock of swans flew right past us. Driving along the Hokuriku Expressway in winter scenery is truly breathtaking! I want to congratulate myself for deciding to drive on such a rare, clear winter day. There are hardly any cars, and I have this scenery all to myself... The Hokuriku Expressway is the best! The last stop is Arisoumi Service Area, but apparently there is no sea or place name called "Arisoumi." It's not a place name?! It seems it was named by the Manyoshu poet, Otomo no Yakamochi.
