I first encountered his music in a video with Dhafer Youssef many years ago, and I was immediately struck by it. So I explored his music further by listening to his albums, admiring the complexity of his writing, which is melodious and never forced. I like to challenge myself, and I enjoyed studying this magnificent piece by Tigran, “Entertain Me,” from the 2015 album Mockroot. It was fun and stimulating, giving me lots of ideas for my own music.
