The Stairway to Heaven in Austria, also known as the Donnerkogel Klettersteig is a 43 meter sky ladder that hangs over a gorge, 700 meters in the air. It connects two mountains and allows you to climb the summit of Großer Donnerkogel. This is one of many summits of the Gosaukamm Range in northwestern Austria. This klettersteig or via ferrata is not for those who fear heights. The ladder is made of steel cable and shakes and sways as you climb up it.
