2nd Isaiah #2 May 22nd 2026

Alongside the astonishing event of a soon return to Judea through Cyrus, the prophet describes a completely new feeling about the people. They are defeated and powerless, but this is not cause for despair or revenge, but an entirely new mood, one of weakness, grace, and compassion. Here again is the birth of nonviolence, out of a loss of arms a sense that this reveals relationship with God, like nothing before.
