Discussion Forum 2024: Euthanasia: better a day too early than a day too late?
Delayed euthanasia was recognised as an overarching area of concern across all species from the AWF-funded Delphi Project – Expert consensus on animal welfare priority issues in the UK. Reasons for delayed euthanasia are complex and difficulties in decision-making impact veterinary professionals, companion animal owners and of course, the animals. This session will help you better understand the issue of delayed euthanasia, why it is a welfare question and how we can address it with a team approach, using decision-making tools.
