Colin Winski 1979 with Ray Campi Rockabilly Rebels

This is the late great rockabilly singer Colin Winski singing "Rock Therapy" in 1979 with Ray Campi and the Rockabilly Rebels. Ray Campi bass, Jerry Sikorski playing the red ES-335, Kevin Fennell with the gold Les Paul, and Steve Clark on drums. Thank you to Kevin for providing further info about the recording in his much appreciated comment below. Winski was born in Hollywood in 1957 and died March 18, 2007, in Phoenix, Arizona. I saw the Rockabilly Rebels several times at the Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco in the late '70s and was wild about the band and especially Colin. Colin and Jerry left Campi a few years later to start their own band but couldn't get it off the ground. After a while Colin dropped out of the business I guess, except for his later Helldorado band in the Phoenix area. It's too bad he never got a hit recording or a good steady band to tour with. But this video is a good time capsule of him performing with Campi's band back then, almost half a century ago now. It's sadly ironic that in "Rock Therapy" Winski is singing "I don't need a doctor, I don't need a pill, anything you give me babe will only make me ill," as his 2007 death supposedly involved use of a prescription medication for agoraphobia and panic disorder.
