On Labor Day Sept 6th 1943 one of the deadliest wrecks on the Pennsylvania railroad would occur in a familiar spot on the PRR Mainline (present day Amtrak NEC) due to a hotbox on a P70 class coach claiming nearly 80 lives. This video analyses the accident, how it happened, and the legacy it left behind including the later Amtrak 188 incident not to mention even East Palestine.
