Ever watched a video of yourself surfing and wondered, What the heck am I doing with my arms? 🤔 In this video, Marcelo Castellanos explains that after mastering the right foot position on your board, we have to consciously think about the position of our body and adopt a baseline posture to make the most out of the wave. Some things covered in this video are: 1️⃣ Align and point your chest and shoulders in the direction of the nose of your board. 2️⃣ Once you're facing forward, your obliques come into play and you need to engage them to help maintain balance. 3️⃣ Bend your knees for stability, ensuring your back knee is pointing forward, not outward. 4️⃣ Keep the weight on your front leg and foot for decent speed and stability on your board. 5️⃣ Now, finally, for the arms and hands 😉: Roll the shoulder of your back arm and lock the scapula to keep your chest facing in the direction of the nose of your board.
