Dresden Freiberger Straße Railway Station, Dresden, Saxony, Germany - 121214

Dresden Freiberger Straße railway station, is a small S-Bahn station located between Dresden Hauptbahnhof and Dresden Mitte, at the intersection of Freiberger Straße and the 173 main road Ammonstraße. The station serves only local S-Bahn services, the S1 (Meissen Triebischtal to Schoena) and S2 (Pirna to Dresden Airport), but is in-between two busy rail junctions, and therefore has much varied rail traffic, including local, and regional Deutsche Bahn services, ICE trains, Intercity trains, EuroCity Express and a great deal of passing freight. This film features views from the platform of Freiberger Straße of all of this very varied rail traffic, it also includes the final phases of exterior construction to Dresden's new climbing wall building - Sächsischer Bergsteigerbund (SBB), which has been built across the tracks from the station, and with it's gleaming white walls must surely be a magnet for the local graffiti artists!
