The nest is 20 meters above the ground, close to the treetop of a Palimara Alstonia (Alstonia scholaris). ★巢位大事記 Nest Timeline 2/19 發現巢位 Nest discovered 2/23 母鳥蹲巢 Female brooding 4/03 推估可能的孵化日期 Estimated hatch date 4/14 架設器材，小雞395克 Nest Cam Set up, the chick weighs 395 g 4/18 開播！幼鳥取名「嘖嘖」Go Live, chick named "Zeczec" 🎬 更多黑鳶育雛精彩回顧｜More Highlights 【餵食精華片段 Feeding Moments】▶️https://reurl.cc/lzYNXA 🌟 現在就訂閱頻道，陪嘖嘖一起長大吧！ @soaringforyou Subscribe for more daily Black Kite adventures! 🦅 ★黑鳶小檔案 Facts about Black Kites 黑鳶是台灣唯一有食腐習性的猛禽，但也會捕捉活體小動物，為第二級珍貴稀有保育類野生動物。居住在台灣平原鄉村和淺山環境，與人類活動重疊度高，早年「老鷹抓小雞」多半就是指黑鳶。黑鳶以往遍布全台各地，成群在天上盤旋的景象讓許多老農都印象深刻，然而在1980年代因為劇毒農藥和毒鼠藥大量使用，黑鳶因撿食中毒死鳥和老鼠而間接中毒，短短數十年就瀕臨滅絕，在1990年代全台數量一度不到200隻，僅剩北部和南部有少量族群殘存。近年來因為劇毒農藥加保扶禁用、停辦全國農地滅鼠周以及友善農業的推廣，黑鳶數量緩慢回升，在去年(2024)底的全台同步調查達到945隻。 Black kites are the only scavenging raptor in Taiwan, living in the counties and lowland mountains, overlapping greatly with human activities. Black kites were once very common in Taiwan, flocks of them soaring in the sky still remains a deep impression in the memories of old farmers. However, the wide use of the highly toxic carbofuran and anticoagulant rodenticides in the 1980s caused a dramatic decrease in the black kite population, with less than 200 individuals left in Taiwan in the 1990s, the crisis of secondary poisoning nearly drove them to extinction in mere decades.
