Claude Code Made This Anime — Episode 3: We Fixed Our Biggest Mistake

Can Claude Code make videos? Yes — this is episode 3 of an anime series made 100% free on a laptop, and this time we fixed the biggest mistake we'd been making since day one. Wren asks the ranger Thorne for help finding the knight's daughter. Wooden-stick training, a first hunt, a medallion lost to the river — and in the city of Eastmere, an old scribe reveals where the road leads next. But they are not the only ones searching... ⚙️ WHAT WE CHANGED THIS EPISODE Our prompts were too short (50 words instead of the 120–200 the model was trained on) — and the built-in prompt enhancer turned out to be silently broken. Every shot was rewritten as a long, chronological motion prompt with safety clauses ("exactly two arms", "the medallion stays visible"). Result: no extra arms, nothing melting, nothing vanishing — in the entire episode. Full before/after comparison in the video. 🔧 THE FULL SETUP (all free, runs on a Mac) 1. Claude Code — the brain: writes story, prompts, and cuts the film 2. LTX 2.3 (MLX, local) — free AI video on Apple Silicon, no NVIDIA needed 3. Higgsfield nano banana — character sheets & start images (image-to-video anchor) 4. ElevenLabs — narrator voice + my voice clone (free TTS alternatives: Kokoro, edge-tts, Chatterbox) 5. ffmpeg — all the cutting, mixing and assembly (Claude Code drives it) 6. Key settings: image-to-video · cfg 3.0 · 30 steps · tiling conservative · 1280×704 · prompts 120–200 words 🐞 HONESTY CORNER: A few small glitches are still in there — someone takes a step backwards leaving the shop, and the medallion floats above the water for a moment.
