In the previous video, we visited Sunan Kali Jaga in Demak. To get to Kudus, we have to travel east approximately 26 km, taking approximately 40 minutes. We are now on Jalan Kyai Telingsing, Demangan, Kec. Kudus City, Kudus Regency, Central Java In front of us is an intersection. If you turn left, you'll head towards Jepara. If you turn right, you'll head towards Kyai Telingsing's tomb. Continue straight towards the Kudus Tower and the tomb of Sunan Kudus. In front of us is a T-junction. If you turn left, you'll head towards Jepara. If you go straight towards the Kudus Tower and the tomb of Sunan Kudus, turn right first towards the Kudus 7-way intersection or Kudus town square. On our left is the Kudus Tower park. Now, there's a T-junction or small alley ahead. Turn left towards the Kudus Tower and the tomb of Sunan Kudus. Why are we passing this way? Because we can see the Kudus Tower from the front. The view is better. We've arrived. Please park your vehicles. By the way, for groups traveling by bus, parking is at Gendang Sewu, Bakalankrapyak, Kec. Kaliwungu, Kudus Regency, The distance from the parking lot to Sunan Kudus' tomb is approximately 2 km. Next, you can take a public transportation (angkot) or motorcycle taxi to Sunan Kudus' tomb. From the entrance or Kudus tower, we still have to walk approximately 120 meters to reach the tomb. After entering this gate, you can rest first while waiting for the group committee to finish registering. Remember, before entering the Sunan Kudus tomb area, sandals and shoes must be removed. After passing through this gate, you will feel something different, specifically the area under the floor. It's hot, guys! We have arrived at Sunan Kudus' tomb. Ja'far Shodiq, also known as Sunan Kudus, was a member of the Wali Songo (Nine Saints) who spread Islam throughout the archipelago, especially Java. Sunan Kudus is estimated to have been born in 1400 AD. Sunan Kudus was the son of Habib Utsman Haji, better known as Sunan Ngudung. His father was the son-in-law of Sunan Ampel. His mother, Syarifah Ruhul or Dewi Ruhil, was the younger sister of Sunan Bonang. Sunan Kudus studied religion with his own father, Sunan Ngudung, and also studied with Kyai Telingsing and Sunan Ampel. Sunan Kudus's method of preaching was religious tolerance. The Kudus Tower is one example of this. The tower's architectural style incorporates both Islamic and Hindu elements. Furthermore, Sunan Kudus also requested that the people of Kudus refrain from slaughtering cows during Eid al-Adha. As an alternative, residents could slaughter buffalo. This was to honor the Hindu community of Kudus. Sunan Kudus died around 1550 AD. He died while leading the morning prayer at the Menara Kudus Mosque, in a prostrate position. He was buried west of the Menara Kudus Mosque. Sunan Kudus' tomb is always crowded with pilgrims from various regions in Indonesia, especially around the approaching fasting month like this.
