Behind the doors of Markree Castle, Co. Sligo

In 2015 the Corscadden Family acquired Markree Castle which is situated in 225 acres of beautiful parkland in County Sligo. This was the first time that Markree Castle had changed hands since it was gifted to the Cooper family by Cromwell in the mid-17th century. We take a behind-the-scenes look at the extensive renovation work that has taken place to protect and restore the character and history of Markree, including furniture and original architectural features that have been painstakingly rebuilt and reclaimed.
