Beating the Weather with our 5th Wheel to Ka-Nee-Ta Hots Springs

Getting an RV trip started is never as simple as hooking up and hitting the road! In this episode of North By Northwest Adventures, we’re getting everything ready for a family camping trip to Kah-Nee-Ta Hot Springs Resort on the Warm Springs Reservation in Central Oregon. Between running service calls, delivering materials to the crew, shopping for last-minute supplies, filling the propane tanks, and making sure the fifth wheel was ready, the day was already packed. Then came some bittersweet news—one of our employees let us know he was moving on to a new opportunity. We’re thankful for the time he spent with us and wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter. As if that wasn’t enough, the weather had us racing the clock. Snow was forecast to hit the summit of Mount Hood on Highway 26 by 2:00 PM. With a 3–4-hour drive ahead, a fifth wheel in tow, and five excited grandkids loaded up for the adventure, we had one goal: beat the snow over the pass. Did we make it? We reached the summit right around 2:00 PM… just in time to find out what Mother Nature had in store. Join us as we balance business, family, and the unpredictable adventures that come with RV life.
