Teen recovering from being struck by truck leaves hospital to graduate high school
After spending a year and a half in the hospital and a long-term care facility recovering from being struck by a garbage truck, a 17-year-old boy in New York was able to do something nearly unimaginable after his accident and graduate from high school. Klaw Reh has been on a long journey back to health since the accident. But while he hasn't been able to return home yet, he kept up with his studies and was able to attend his graduation from Leonardo daVinci High School in Buffalo, surprising everyone with a speech. "Class of 2026, congratulations to all of you. It's been a tough road, but with support of family, I made it through. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I hope I inspired you to keep going and never give up in life," Reh told his classmates. Reh's parents and siblings were in attendance, as were nurses and staff from the Buffalo hospital ECMC and long-term care facility Terrace View. "To see him cross the stage, it just broke my heart in a good way," Terrace View registered nurse Lauren Wallace told WKBW. "Thank you for everyone who supported me on this journey. I am truly blessed to be here to be able to celebrate with my classmates. This was a big accomplishment. And I am very proud of it," Reh said. Reh is still working on recovering enough to return home. _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: WKRC on Facebook: / wkrctv WKRC on Twitter: / local12 WKRC on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/local12wkrc...
