Join me on a walk through the narrow cobbled streets of Monschau, Germany. This beautiful medieval town seems to have stood the test of time. Also called the "Pearl of the Eifel", the city has remained largely unchanged for more than 300 years. Throughout history, the city has been known for its textile production. As time passed, tourism grew and became the main source of income. More than 12,000 inhabitants have made Monschau their home base. Situated in the hills of the Northern Eifel in the valley of the river Rur (Roer). From here it is easy to travel to the following countries: Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and France. I had a wonderful time in Monschau and i hope you enjoy the walk too.
