Eldar Wraithknight! Magnetized and painted

A look at my Eldar Wraithknight, with magnetized arms and swappable weapon options. 1080p enabled! The magnets in the Wraithlord's arms and shoulder joints are 3/16" x 3/32", K & J Magnetics Grade N42. For the shoulders I've drilled holes to fit the magnet in flat and for the arms I've just glued the magnet in a satisfying position. There is plenty of space inside the ball joint on each arm so even though the two surfaces are not perfectly matched (ie, there's a flat magnet in each arm cup) no one sees under the shoulder pads and it just looks like the arm is held nicely. This setup holds all the arms beautifully except for the Suncannon which is so heavy that the arm slides down a bit. That's why you generally see me lifting the arm upright. Paint list, in order of use: BODY: Krylon Ruddy Brown Primer Blazing Orange first drybrush (right over the primer) Khador Red Highlight second drybrush GW Red Ink full coverage (you could probably use Privateer Red Ink too) PANELS Abbadon Black (no other highlights) Ceramite White (thick layer, very little water) White Scar (only where needed to layer up the white) GEMS: Iosian Green (*do not* water down at all!) Scorpion Green two separate cuts of Scorpion Green with White Scar (ie. 50/50 & 25/75) White Scar final layer (pips, etc) BLUE LIGHT: Caledor Sky (again, do not water down at all) Ice Blue One 505/50 mix of Ice Blue and White Scar One 25/75 mix of Ice Blue and White Scar White Scar final detail layer SHIELD: Rhinox Hide base Shining Gold Devlan Mud Gryphonne Sepia Ceramite White Drakenhof Nightshade Note, I have some older paints so you may need to check conversion charts to see what the new names are. Any Privateer Press paints you see used are just because they happen to be what I have around, there isn't some larger reason for using them (other than they are cheaper and often just as good!).
