“Om Jai Jagadish” (2002) is a Hindi family‑drama directed by Anupam Kher in his debut behind the camera, produced by Vashu Bhagnani. It stars Waheeda Rehman as the devoted mother and three brothers: Anil Kapoor (Om), Fardeen Khan (Jai) and Abhishek Bachchan (Jagdish), along with Mahima Chaudhry, Urmila Matondkar, and Tara Sharma . The family home, which Om had mortgaged to fund Jai's education and Jagdish’s legal troubles, is set to be auctioned off. Jai, now a successful car designer, returns from the US after realizing the importance of family. Jagdish also returns, remorseful for his past mistakes. At the auction, all three brothers pool their resources, including money from their wives and their savings, to buy back the house — symbolizing their emotional and familial reconciliation. In a moving moment, they win the bid and reclaim the house — fulfilling their late father’s dream and honoring their mother, Saraswati Batra (Waheeda Rehman). The family reunites at home. Saraswati, overwhelmed with joy, blesses her sons.
