Catholic celibacy seems strange to some people. Why can't priests get married? Why do nuns choose celibacy for their whole lives? To some, it seems that Catholicism is opposed to sexual intimacy because of how much it reveres celibacy. To others, who understand that the Church greatly reveres the marital embrace, find it incoherent.
