In this video, I present a study on spirit possession, trance, and spiritual manifestation in Afro-Brazilian and Bantu traditions. We will understand how ancient African peoples understood contact with ancestors, the role of Kalunga (the sacred space), the ritual function of the drum, and the Quimbanda perspective on Exu, mediumship, and spiritual consciousness. Spiritual possession was not always seen simply as a spirit "entering" the body, but also as the awakening of ancestral forces already present within the individual. Furthermore, I address a point rarely discussed: many of the greatest sorcerers, healers, and Quimbanda practitioners in history did not practice spirit possession in public, as true power always resided in the foundation, in the mironga (spiritual magic), and in the mastery of invisible forces. #Quimbanda #Umbanda #Exu #Pombagira #SpiritualPossession #incorporation
