I Built A Flooded Jungle Ecosystem Aquarium For My Fish

👇👇MD MERCH CLICK HERE👇👇: FULL SHOP: mdfishtanks.com I rebuilt this aquarium into a heavily planted jungle-style community tank, using a nutrient-rich substrate system, simple natural hardscape, loads of aquarium plants, floating plants, stem plants, crypts, Java fern, Anubias, Amazon swords, dwarf sag and more. In this video I strip down the old setup, rescue and move the fish safely, rebuild the substrate with nutrients for strong plant growth, create a natural wood and rock layout, and plant the tank heavily to create an instant jungle aquarium look. I also test a different style of aquarium lighting to create a more natural, moody spotlight effect and bring out the colours of the fish. This planted aquarium is home to a peaceful community of tropical fish including cardinal tetras, neon tetras, emperor tetras, harlequin rasboras, danios, guppies, endlers, pearl gouramis, corydoras, plecos, Amano shrimp and ramshorn snails. If you enjoy planted tanks, jungle aquariums, low-tech aquascaping, community fish tanks, aquarium plants, natural aquariums and freshwater fishkeeping, this build should give you plenty of ideas and inspiration for your own setup. This tank is all about plant growth, texture, movement, natural behaviour and creating a beautiful freshwater ecosystem that feels alive.
