Catch Fish at Eastbourne: REDOUBT FORTRESS

A record of two sessions (recorded 14.07.20 and 14.08.20) fished at Splash Point / Redoubt Fortress in Eastbourne (East Sussex, UK). I had previously fished this mark in October 2019 (see    • CATCH FISH AT EASTBOURNE: Autumn/winter sp...   ) and caught a typical autumn mixed bag, which included a thornback ray. I really wanted to come back and fish here in the spring, but circumstances didn't allow that, so late summer had to do; still with the idea of catching plaice. However no plaice showed in the first attempt, with bream, mackerel and scad saving the day. An early plaice gave hope in the second visit, but soles made an appearance, together with small smooth hounds and mackerel, making this an enjoyable session.
