Xiao Bai Ma Cessna-182 3CH EPP 436mm Wingspan RTF from Banggood - Part 2: Attempt to Improve CG

I love RC ultra-micro parkflyers. They are so convenient. You can fly them almost anywhere, parks, baseball diamonds, parking lots, some of them even in your backyard. They are also relatively inexpensive and easy to store thanks to their small size. The new ones made out of EPP or EPO foams are quite resilient and almost indestructible (unless you manage to fly them into a tree or under a moving car). 3-channel parkflyers with gyro stabilization are great options for people wanting to learn how to fly RC airplanes. However, finding a good one that is beginner-friendly with great flight characteristics, stability, and ease of control (I call these “buds”) is not trivial. I recently had my share of some “duds” that really disappointed me. I reviewed a new one, the Xiao Bai Ma Cessna-182, a couple days ago, which I had purchased from Banggood for $46.23 shipped to my door: https://www.banggood.com/CESSNA-182-3... Here is the first video showing its unboxing and maiden flight:    • Xiao Bai Ma Cessna-182 3CH EPP 436mm Wings...   It flew great on a calm day with the gyro stabilization on, but its inherent stability was terrible with the gyro off. Also, it felt very tail-heavy and did not glide at all; it went into a spiral dive as soon as cut off the throttle. So, I decided to attempt to improve its flight characteristics by moving its center of gravity towards the front by adding some nose weight. Was I successful? Let’s watch the video to find out! Thank you very much for watching. I hope this review was informative for you. In the next episodes, we will be attempting its maiden flight. Enjoy the hobby and stay safe and healthy.
