The Wedge is a majestic hunk of sandstone broken away from Bear Mountain, so alluring with its acute triangle shape. Like a mote guarding a Fortress, the Wedge is protected by an 80' long thin "death ledge." We both want that summit bad enough to face the ledge. The wait is over as the backcountry duo gets out to make an attempt to summit and claim "The Wedge".
