I Found an Abandoned Cement Factory Hidden in Spain…

The Spain adventure takes an unexpected turn… For this part of the journey, Groundtrekker (Steve) and I temporarily go our separate ways as I head a few hours further south in the Defender for a few days of solo exploring. My destination leads me deep into the Spanish mountains to an incredible turquoise lake—and the remains of an abandoned cement factory hidden amongst the cliffs. With a wild camp set up beside the water, it seems like the perfect opportunity to slow things down, get the paddleboard out and explore the lake from a completely different perspective. But, as usual, things don’t quite go according to plan… A leaking paddleboard is only the beginning—and while trying to capture some epic drone footage of this spectacular location, I make one rather expensive-looking mistake. 😬 What started as a peaceful few days of solo overlanding quickly becomes another adventure I won’t forget.
