War steals peace from children from frontline regions every day, forcing them to hide in basements from the constant sirens. But Ukrainians continue to unite to give children a real, carefree childhood. In this large digest of the national project "Side by Side" we will show two impressive stories about how Lviv and Ternopil regions accepted children from Zaporizhzhia region. In the first part of the issue, the Pidberiztsivska community created a real fairy tale for children from Kushugum: accommodation in the style of a magical Hogwarts, unique master classes, excursions to an open-air retro museum and an unexpected warm meeting with Dasha Astafieva. In the second part, the Buchachska community gave children from the Stepno community days of absolute silence. The mysterious Verteba cave, the majestic Dzhuryn waterfall, delicious field porridge on the fire and frank conversations around the evening bonfire awaited the children, after which the children sincerely admitted that they simply did not want to return under fire. See how mutual assistance, the beauty of Ukrainian nature and the care of home communities erase the consequences of war, heal psychologically and return children their sincere smiles.
