How to write simple and effective choral arrangements | Choir directors and complete beginners
How to write simple and effective choral arrangemens for your choir - this long overdue video is finally up. In this video I will do my best to explain how I write my choral arrangements, for a beginner choir, for an amateur choir that is just dipping its toes in the multipart harmonics, and if you are a first time or a beginner arranger, I believe you will find this helpful. As you probably know, this video idea was first introduced in the video before this one – I encouraged you to start writing custom arrangements for your choir if you are having trouble with your choir sound and all the available choral arrangements are too difficult. This video is for choral directors, but also for everyone who has a need for translating a song to a choral arrangement. We will go through theory and then I will show you an example of mine. And by popular demand (!), I explain my absence in the end of the video - spoiler alert: my work took over. Thank you for being here still and again! :) Iva ps. I can't fix the audio issues with the transitions, I'm sorry! Talk to me: / enquiretochoir / enquire_2choir / enquire2choir Email me at: [email protected] Hello and welcome to Enquire 2 Choir! :) This is a channel created for everyone working in the choir field; aimed to help mostly non-professionals, who are in a choir, who are looking into starting a new choir, who have certain questions about managing, directing or conducting a choir, because there is a lot of work when it comes to choirs! My name is Iva, and I am a professional pianist who somehow landed a career conducting and managing several choirs - so I know from experience how difficult it can be when you don't have any help. It doesn't matter if your choir is a big or small one, if it's a church or a school choir, if its members know how to read music or not. Every choir is an important choir because it assembles people wanting to sound great, and to feel accomplished. This is why every week I will try my best to give the most efficient advice on issues concerning from music to management. So go on, subscribe, and be a part of Enquire 2 Choir!
