Playing Jazz using 1625 in E Major! Bass practice
🎸 Jazz Bass: Fretboard Mastery (E Major I-vi-ii-V) Mastering the E major I-vi-ii-V progression with slick chromatic walking lines! See how to execute the runs while looking, then close your eyes and feel the muscle memory take over. That's what I'll be doing. I watched Ryan Madora's video on Youtube and thought that this was a nice and easy way of effectively sounding like a real jazz bassline. I didn't do the palm muting, but I did the skips! Feedback and comments welcome. Natalie November 26 20205 🎸 Welcome to My Riff Journey! 🎸 I'm setting out to learn 20 essential bass riffs—one groove at a time. This is the beginning of my personal challenge to finally build a solid repertoire of songs, starting from scratch. Inspired by Mark from Talking Bass (thanks, Mark!), who said every bass player should know these simple songs, I’ve decided to take that advice to heart. I don’t know many songs yet, but that’s exactly why I’m doing this. Each video is a reflection on how I learn a riff—my struggles, breakthroughs, and what I take away from the process. Whether you’re also learning, picking up your bass again, or just love music, I hope you’ll join me on this journey. _________________________ I created Bass Rumblings website (www.bassrumblings.net) to keep all of my practice, songs, challenges, tips, resources. I hope to inspire people that you can start playing any instrument at any age - put the right practice in, and slowly develop your confidence. I create a Facebook page to keep my thoughts of what I learnt, commiting to practice and other musings   / bassrumblings  If that's not enough, subscribe to monthly newsletter where I gather my thoughts, and summaries my learnings. http://eepurl.com/ijc6-r
