Avance Logic ALS007 Soundcard playing Doom II OPL3 music

Avance Logic was founded in 1991 in california and at first produces its ALG graphics chipsets. With the ALS 007 they entered the emerging marked for cost efficient plug and play pc sound solutions in the mid 90s. The ALS007 integrates many functions into a single IC - nearly everything but the FM-synthesizer. Thats why they add an LS-212 (Yamaha YMF262 clone) OPL3 IC into the cards layout. The ALS007 was soon replaced by the ALS100, but integrated FM was not untill the ALS100+. Anyway, when Avance logic gains some attention with their portfolio, the taiwanese semiconductor company Realtek took them over in 1995 (but let them operate as an independend subsidiary until 2002) Today, Realtek is present with audio solutions on many motherboards, so you might using some Avance Logic technologies without knowledge. I bought this card in a bundle from a spain seller as untested, but luckily it works pretty fine. Sound is clear with a firm bass and there isn't hardly any noise on the unamplified line-output. So i am happy to have this card in my collection. To complete my Avance Logic cards series, i am locking for an ALS200. The ALS100, 100+, 120 and 4000(PCI) records are already available- see my other Videos to compare.
