I’m not racist but… | Tahira Hussain | TEDxNorthwich
A new way of looking at the world! It aims to create a curious mind, promote self-reflection and consider that it isn’t enough to recognise racism does exist or to be averse to this. We need to be actively anti-racist and challenge ourselves before we can challenge others. We must find our own buts…. Tahira Hussain is a Psychotherapist, Trainer and Motivational Wellbeing Coach who finds joy & sanctuary in her work & writing. She is the Director of Goldmark Training. She draws inspiration from her life experiences, faith and personal values, raising awareness about stuff that matters in the world. When not travelling far and wide for work and pleasure, Tara can be found surrounded by friends, food and her family. Some of her favourite things are a cup of tea, good books and scented candles. She also has an interesting collection of teapots and Winnie the Pooh trinkets. Tahira has extensive experience working in the statutory and voluntary sector, with a 22-year career in social work, mental health, community development, charity and the housing sector. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
