.50 cal Traditions Hawken rifle Black Powder Trials
This month I've switched over from Pyrodex back to Black Powder for many reasons, primarily because black powder is much more reliable in Florida and works in Flintlocks, so there is no point in keeping separate stocks. This is my Tradition Hawken left handed double trigger percussion rifle. Because chemistry, granulation and measurement are different, we needed to do some bench testing to see where the rifle is at. Today was 50 yards only. The start point is the old measure 70gr which is already predicted to be excessive for the GOEX. Testing conducted at Joe Steed archery and firearms in montverde florida
