Maquoketa Caves is one of the most amazing places in the State of Iowa and has more caves than any other state park. Artifacts like pottery, tools, and stone projectile points found in the caves and surrounding areas indicate that humans have been interested in the Maquoketa Caves region for hundreds or even thousands of years.
