Joyce Hwang: In Consideration of Neighbors

Joyce Hwang, 2025 Bruce Goff Chair of Creative Architecture, gave a Goff Lecture titled "In Consideration of Neighbors" on September 29, 2025, on the University of Oklahoma (OU) campus in Norman, Oklahoma. The lecture was hosted by the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture. Amy Leveno, assistant professor of Architecture at OU, introduced the lecture. It was made possible with support from the Bruce Goff Chair of Creative Architecture. Hwang is professor of Architecture at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She is the director of Ants of the Prairie, an office of architectural practice and research that focuses on confronting contemporary ecological conditions through creative means, and a partner in Double Happiness.
