The song choice was inspired by muffintonic's video:    • Doof & Perry - Nemeses   The marked manips are inspired by Amaera Jenson's amazing video "I must have done something right", used with permission:    • . must have done something right [askperry...   The first flashback of little Heinz is from Purple Walskurco's "Dark on Me", also used with permission:    • Perryshmirtz- Dark On Me   PLOT: The first part of the song describes Perry and Heinz' working relationship as Nemeses/ Agent and Evil Scientist, first from Perry's perspective, who starts to see Doofenshmirtz' childhood traumata behind his cheery and evil facade, then from Heinz' point of view, who realizes that being an evil scientist didn't make much sense until Perry came and gave him a purpose by their daily thwarting routine. Over time, Perry falls in love with Heinz, but the doctor is too oblivious to notice his own or Perry's feelings. When they see Melissa kiss Zack after their adventure in outer space, Perry wants a reunion kiss from Heinz as well. But Heinz' hang on Platypus language isn't perfect, yet and he doesn't understand what Perry wants, leaving the agent frustrated. Even Heinz' former cat Mr. Fluffypants gets more physical recognition than Perry does and the agent starts to feel like giving up on the chance Heinz returning his love, when Heinz' daughter Vanessa talks some sense into him. She sees how deeply her father cares for Perry, especially in situations when the three of them go camping together, forming a family. When Perry is gone she notices how sad her father is. Perry promises Vanessa to be more up front, showing his emotions directly, something he is not used to after years of agency training and a stoick expression and work attitude. Just as he is about to be open, Heinz kisses him, having realized his own emotions after Vanessa gave him a pep talk.
